Roche Bobois Paris & Houston Magazine celebrate the release of The Arts Issue and the gathering of five International artists From Laura Rathe Fine Art to reimagine and design custom versions of the iconic Mah Jong sofa.
Jewelry designer Ryan Murphy of Silver Luthier designed custom gothic buttons specially for the sofa.
A live auction of the custon Mah Jong pieces will benefit Dec My Room.
No stranger to the dramatic, lead vocalist Christy Lee Rogers, is taking a pause from her fine art career, to collaborate with fellow artist and musician Ryan Murphy – forming the alternative indie rock band Bayonesse.
Their debut single ‘Angel Touching Down’ from their upcoming album ‘Bleeding Heart’ will be released November 25th, accompanied by a dark and avant garde underwater music video filmed and directed by Rogers.
The music video, starring actress Elisabeth Donaldson and Bayonesse themselves, and edited by award winning filmmaker Ray Izad-Mehr, gives life to the darkness and turmoil underlying their heart-felt lyrics. Completely unaltered and un-coloured, the footage is raw out of the camera, with a frenetic and stylized editing technique.

Model and Clothing Designer Elisabeth Donaldson created these sexy Barbarella-like undergarments for Rogers latest underwater still and film shoot. As a model this is what Elisabeth had to say about her experience underwater.
"When shooting underwater with Christy Lee Rogers, there is an initial moment of complete physical terror. You have blown out all of your air, and are underwater in darkness, searching for light, wrapped in fabric that grabs you and pulls you and covers your face. You body feels like it's drowning and the physical instinct is to stop and come to the surface and give up completely. Through this terror you must find grace, through this terror you must find beauty, through this terror you must find peace- and as you take control of this scared animal body of yours and trust the communication of your soul- there, in that brief moment before your lungs are imploding and screaming for air, you can find the truth. And the truth is that you are beautiful and eternal and free- and no matter what trap you find yourself caught in, in this universe, you have the infinite ability to create life."

Christy Lee Rogers - "I love the idea of creating something that represents a moment in time, that can never be re-created exactly the same. You put your heart into a work and that essence is there forever. It’s as if you’re giving birth to a new life form. As an original and unique work, there is comfort in knowing as an artist you can now freely move on to the next moment and the next creation. I was born to be a painter, and I release my works like a painter, with about 20 new works a year, yet I create my works with this new medium called Photography. So, it feels right to release them this way."

Cincinnati, OH – This September artist CHRISTY LEE ROGERS takes us underwater for the worldwide launch of her latest series "A QUARTER OF A MILLION MILES." In conjunction with FOTOFOCUS, Miller Gallery will be exhibiting Rogers’ solo show, running September 15th through October 22nd. The series is inspired by space and the higher concept of nothingness and of the formless, which Rogers describes as "a beautiful place to begin every new creation and every new day.” Through the power of the formless, every form is created.
I was taken hostage by this new idea that just had to be expressed, so we travelled to northern Nashville to find this amazing pool on this beautiful 100 acre farm.
Opening on July 9th in the beautiful city of Houston, Laura Rathe Fine Art is pleased to announce Christy Lee Rogers' solo exhibit "Within the Invisible Space." The exhibit runs July 9 - August 20, 2016.

Bayonesse, the indie rock band founded by Christy Lee Rogers and rocker Ryan Murphy of Forty Point, will release their first EP this summer entitled "Bleeding Heart."
Rogers and Murphy co-wrote all of the songs and lyrics, with Rogers on vocals, and Murphy on Guitar. Mixing and Mastering for the songs is being performed by the talented Brian Foraker, engineer of legends like Heart, Kiss, Fleetwood Mac, Whitesnake, Jefferson Starship and more.
