"Little did I know that this angelic man was this famous amazing actor, one of the Hardy Boys, a heart throb to millions of women, a director and now a photographer. The one thing I did know was that we understood each other artistically, and there was this magical calmness and serenity about Parker which allowed me to inquire if he would allow me to shoot him underwater." Using the ultimate symbol of beauty, the flower, artist Christy Lee Rogers challenges us to let go and dive underwater with her to a world of wonder, movement and color.
In her newest collection Hybrids, Rogers depicts hybrid human bodies crossed with South African and Hawaiian indigenous flowers; photographed underwater in her distinctive technique and style that have earned her International recognition. And for her first hybrid of photography and painting, the collection will also include several of her hybrid watercolor and acrylic paintings blended into final photographs. Inspired by Impressionist painters like Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet; Baroque artist Jan Davidsz de Heem and contemporarily pop artist Takashi Murakami, Rogers uses the flower as a powerful symbol of hope and freedom.

For her first exhibition in Italy, International artist Christy Lee Rogers will take the Venice art world underwater with her contemporary-baroque works, and an installation entitled "Personal Infinity." Like the water spanning the canals and bridges of Venice, the water in Rogers’ images also plays a key role in expressing the beauty and vulnerability of existence. Rogers' works will be a part of the “Personal Structures-Open Borders” exhibition, a collateral exhibit during the 57th Venice Art Biennale, held at Palazzo Bembo, and is curated and sponsored by Eliane Nagata and Ten Arts Paris.
Rogers participation will be an intimate installation entitled "Personal Infinity", and includes large scale underwater works in light boxes, vidéo installations, poetry and mesmorizing music by Paul Kwitek.

A special thanks to the Crew of GAA Foundation for their help, assistance and great support.
So lucky to get to talk to these super talented artists at the Art Institute of Nashville. Lecture was to remind our future generation of artists about how important they are to the world.
